Salesforce is the world’s #1 CRM and one of the fastest growing top five enterprise software companies. When they needed a partner to help them train and upskill the future talent of sales, they joined forces with us through our Level 4 Sales Executive Apprenticeship.
Salesforce is the number-one CRM company. They lead with their values: Trust, Customer Success, Innovation, Equality and Sustainability. When choosing a training provider, Salesforce looked for one that aligned with their values and prioritised collaboration. They began working with BMS Progress in February 2022. Here, Programme Manager for Untapped Talent (EMEA), Sean Landes, shares his experience with our Level 4 Sales Executive Apprenticeship Standard and its role in helping Untapped Talent access sales training and jobs.
We wanted to provide the very best training experience for young people, helping them become ready to join our Sales Development teams following the Level 4 Sales Executive Apprenticeship.
Our salespeople are the face of Salesforce, partnering with clients from many different industries. We worked with BMS Progress to design a course which would ensure our apprentices were ready to take on exciting challenges.
Our development coach Sam Earith was excellent. He kept us updated on our learners’ progress, carrying out milestone reviews and bridging any gaps. Our team has also complimented his approach, seeing value in the 1-2-1 development and feedback.
BMS Progress worked closely with us to create a bespoke curriculum for the apprentices’ journey and tailored the programme to the needs of Salesforce. They took the time to listen to our needs, both throughout the course creation and the rest of the journey.
We’ve built up a good relationship with BMS Progress. We worked closely with Sam, along with Joanna Linfield, our Corporate Account Manager. She was very responsive, and feedback was two-way, with them working on anything that needed improving.
Our Sales Development Apprentices are on the way to becoming prospective Sales professionals. From learning about the sales cycle to account management - they are able to apply their knowledge from their training with BMS in their day to day roles at Salesforce and make a real impact on the business.
The programme has been a good way to invest our levy funds and train the next generation of Sales talent. Our partnership with BMS has allowed us to create an impactful Sales Apprenticeship which in turn helps us to bring diverse and talented young adults into our business.
We’re pleased that by focusing on diversity, we enable talent to master behaviours to be great sales professionals. For instance, they can develop their business acumen and build confidence when calling clients – from all industries and of all sizes – to find opportunities to sell.
